I am looking for durable luggage to travel to Europe and taking a cruise.?

Someone recommended Victorinox Swiss Army. We are allowed 50 lbs. Does anyone have recommendations that are not as expensive and as sturdy. Thanks

Your first criteria should be luggage that is light - you don't want to use up too much of your 50 pounds with the weight of the luggage itself. You may sacrifice some durability by going for the lightest, but my experience with traveling to many places in many ways over the years that light really is the way to go. I have found that the cheapest suitcases do stand up well, often just as well as much more expensive versions. Especially if you are an infrequent traveler you don't need to spend a lot of money on luggage. Go to any discount luggage store or department store and look around. The most important aspects are the lightness, the wheels, the handle and the zippers. So go and check out those things and then buy the cheapest one that meets your needs.
