debt collectors??

Ok im not trying to be mean, but why do some people constantly complain about debt collectors??You signed an agreement. It is not their fault you didn't read the fine lines. You have scheduled pymts you must make, and there are LF's. They are just doing there job, so what makes them think that they can pick up the phone and treat everyone like crap and let there bills go 6-7 behind without NO PAYMENT AT ALL!!!shame on you!! i do not know if anyone else is sick of this, but pay your bill...pay something..make an effort. I work at WFNNB...and i approach my customers kindly and i try and help them...but i am doing my job by collecting the money that the consumers owe for the $1200 worth of merchandise from Victoria secret sitting in their closet. I am sorry i just saw a posting for a consumer asking his or her rights..saying we shouldn't contact them...PAY UP!!! stop taking your money problems out on everyone else and take the help.

good for you ! you must be the only nice debt collector out there. when i fell behind on bills, due to illness, i got harassing, insulting phone calls daily. i was called lazy, was told to sell my body for money, and cussed out. my friends, family, and work place were also contacted with threatening calls. i had no intention to weasel out on my obligations, and i paid as soon as i was able to, but i do not agree, that people down on their luck should be harassed, and threatened, and treated like scum. i'm sure, there are people out there, that just want a free ride, that does not give collectors the right to to behave that way. if i am called a lazy, irresponsible cow, and told i'd be arrested, how will that motivate me to pay more, or sooner ? i am glad to hear you are treating people kindly, keep up the good work!
