Quick easy Craft Ideas to make in bulk for Families in need.?
The Ladies group I go to would like to make a Christmas gift for Families in need. We would be making a bulk lot of one Gift idea, so ideally we would have to craft something that is quick and easy but will help put a smile on these families faces. Any ideas welcome. Thanks, it doesn't have to be christmas themed just something that would be nice as a gift.
Rivers is trying to be nice here, so bear with me, and don't take offense. Rivers would really like to help. My Dad used to help every year with the Xmas baskets for those in need[Rivers rode along when she got older], and he used to tell me the stories of what he saw when he delivered them. Some of the stories were so sad, some made even little Rivers upset, and some made Dad very angry. He was still a young man, quite able to carry the baskets up to a house when he quit doing it, he saw so many ungrateful things, and wasted food. He started helping those people during the year that needed immediate help, or those that qualified for help under the programs that his social club had.
People who are truly in need really don't want or need a gift. They need help. Food, toiletries, things that food stamps will not pay for like toilet paper and Kleenex. Or a toy for a child that will get nothing this year otherwise.
Do something small, that takes little or no money. Tuck some candy canes into the basket, tie a ribbon around them, or do a reindeer like the other answerer said, that is cute, and will bring a smile. I have a a felt topper for a candy cane, mine is a hobby horse head that fits over the crook of the cane, but you could make trees, stars, just two little pieces of felt glued on three sides and some cheap sequins, large enough to slip of the cane crook. Make a fabric flower out of remnants or fabric scraps for the outside of the basket. If you know how many people are in the family, make a favor for each member.

Just a box of candy canes with a red bow on them would be nice. Or a sack of Hershey Kisses and a bow might made someones day. Gee, it would make River's day, and I'm not poor[yet].
Know how many adults/children in the family? go buy some of those cheap stretchy gloves at the dollar store.
Type in cheap Xmas gift crafts into the browser, I got bunches of sites and ideas. Some for cute and cheap ideas to decorate your basket with, others actual gifts, LOL, even the Santa and Mrs. Claus bleach bottles from my own childhood.
