China Airlines is generally the cheapest, but if you aren't yet certain exactly when you want to travel, then you can just wait and watch for a good discount to pop up. One will eventually for some airline. But if you are planning to travel soon, like in the next month or so, then you can get round trip tickets to Bangkok for about $1100 from China Airlines, including taxes.

Add on about another $1000 for living expenses and everything else for the month, since you will be traveling quite a bit.
